LANGUAGE WARNING PEOPLE!!!
My laptop has a virus. That virus has completely corrupted the operating system and I can't fix it myself. Its the fucking first day of November for god's sake and I've got research papers to fucking write... Deep breaths...In...Out...Breathe.
I will no take a hammer to it. I am a bigger person than that. Fuck I want to though... the fact I'm not going to has everything to do with: a) my research paper is currently in two different emails and a ups drive still complete and intact; and b) [info]evindell, the 'House of Wolves' author extraordinaire, totally made my day (I'm holding you to that by the way!) and unconsciously and unknowingly saved my laptops god forsaken and miserable existence. All in one reply.
Oh and yes I did manage to backup all my files before it all went to shit. My NaNo included, although at the moment I can't convince myself to give a damn about that. My research paper is okay, therefore I am okay.

EDIT// Laptop is FIXED!!!!! Staples Tech guy is a demi-god. That is all... still can't find it in self to give a damn about NaNo, at least the plot I chose for NaNo anyway.

Current Mood: actually miserable and pissed

Hey that's awesome that you got your laptop fixed!
The only computer related incident I can relate to is that currently my computer keeps randomly dying on me. And not the "Oh. Sorry I'm shutting down now." It's more like a "Eat that.I'm off now". *Sigh*
Which has been pissing me off lately.
My word documents have an automatic recover.
Explorer has this button that lets me see the last windows opened before shutting down.
But paint shop pro? The only program that I really slave away at- where I make gazillion layers and backgrounds? Yep, that's the one that loses everything I'm designing. That would be right...

Ye Gods I would cry, I really would if my laptop just shut down and erased all my layers and backgrounds... (usually its just Photoshop itself on mine but considering I am design inept it doesn't bug me much.)
You'd think considering how much time and effort can go into a single image of those kind of programs that they add a rsotre feature though.
Stupid programmers eh? (oh dear I sound so stereotypically Canadian when I "say" that)
