LANGUAGE WARNING PEOPLE!!!
My laptop has a virus. That virus has completely corrupted the operating system and I can't fix it myself. Its the fucking first day of November for god's sake and I've got research papers to fucking write... Deep breaths...In...Out...Breathe.
I will no take a hammer to it. I am a bigger person than that. Fuck I want to though... the fact I'm not going to has everything to do with: a) my research paper is currently in two different emails and a ups drive still complete and intact; and b) [info]evindell, the 'House of Wolves' author extraordinaire, totally made my day (I'm holding you to that by the way!) and unconsciously and unknowingly saved my laptops god forsaken and miserable existence. All in one reply.
Oh and yes I did manage to backup all my files before it all went to shit. My NaNo included, although at the moment I can't convince myself to give a damn about that. My research paper is okay, therefore I am okay.

EDIT// Laptop is FIXED!!!!! Staples Tech guy is a demi-god. That is all... still can't find it in self to give a damn about NaNo, at least the plot I chose for NaNo anyway.

It's 2 am on the 1st of November. I have 1,030 words of my NaNo written. That's almost to daily writing count finished...
I have written in two hours more for this NaNo than I have in the past two combined.

And before you ask, yes this is how I'm choosing to deal with my anxiety over NaNo!

Because I had nothing better to do (yeah right!) but waste my time I 'faceyourmanga'-ed the characters in my NaNoWriMo novel IMAGINARY FRIENDS...
(IMAGINARY FRIENDS - Cartoonized)
Personally I think they look pretty cute that way. Although Devyn looks a bit too happy considering her personality and childhood.

Shockingly after a few lovely weeks of sun... it has snowed.
As in 'in for the winter' kind of snow. Which means: I get to wear my boots!
Boots that are waterproof, (fake) fur-lined and good up to -32 degress celcius! Damned but do I - and my feet - love these things!
Too bad I can't say the same about the snow itself.

So last year around this time I'm pretty sure I posted about the black bear that had taken up residence in my neighbourhood. Bears, I can safely say, are not fun neighbours to have especially ones that get into your neighbours garbage can...
And well the damn thing came back again which means its turned into a 'garbage' bear. What does this mean? It means if anyone calls the conservation officers now the bear will most likely be euthanized instead of relocated and since no one really wants to see the thing dead no ones calling. So we're stuck with the damn thing and all the paranoia that comes with it.
Still I'd rather have the paranoia than the guilt.

As I've spent the past 3 hours making chapter images and banners of a series that will never grace: fictionpress, my website or currently any internet site at all.
Still they are kind of pretty so they might get uploaded anyway...
--------------------------------
Proving my 'sheep cred:' I have an authonomy account. now Un-shockingly enough its under my pseudonym and shockingly enough its the first time ever I've used said pseudonym on the 'interwebs.'
--------------------------------
Now I honestly loathe can't stand twilight and its sequels (its a personal opinion guys.) On  the other hand I happen to like Death Cab for Cutie's music, and their new one (written for the second sparklepire movie) Meet Me at the Equinox is a really good song. I likes it!
That and because my hometown hates me, I have yet to step foot in a store that is selling Muse's newest album. -.-
--------------------------------
In other none shocking news the BC Government, via the BC Courts, has ordered the that striking EMS workers are an essential service thus removing their ability to strike. (The same thing they pulled with the BC Teacher's Association around two years ago now, and it sucked then too.) An action they are currently partaking in.
Considering how important these men and women are to our  'oh so wonderful' health care system you would think the government would be more willing to deal than they have been.
--------------------------------
Since I mentioned the government, as a member of my university's 'Political Science Student Association (PSSA)' I'm kind of silently cheering for another federal election (it'll give us something to 'event-ify' this semester.) Sure it costs a ton of money but if the people don't like the government its a good thing. Come on 'non-con' vote!
--------------------------------
Spent the last two days babysitting the neighbour children. Got them to watch 'X-men Origins: Wolverine.' I swear I'm the one responsible for most levels of geekery those kids display (read: I'll turn them into comic fans yet!). How sad is that?
--------------------------------
Also can't wait for all the season premiers next week... and now I'm off to watch 'Good God, Y'all' - a.k.a. Supernatural 5x02.
--------------------------------
And because I have yet to celebrate via the internet:
ENGLAND'S IN THE WORLD CUP! ENGLAND'S IN THE WORLD CUP!
TOP OF OUR GROUP BABY! WooT!!
We now return to your regularly scheduled programing.

So went to the mall a hour before closing to get a pair of black leather flats and a pair of black dress pants. Ended up with 3 pairs of flats (1 black leather, 1 raspberry suede and 1 grey suede), 2 print t-shirts, a red sweater and 2 of the softest zipper hoodies you could ever own in indigo and black pepper.
Sadly no dress pants but I'm not complaining.
  Not at all. ;)

Uni's back on in a week. Pros: Friends are back in town instead of spread across the globe, no excuse for boredom. Cons: Piles of work and notes. Less money due severely depleted work hours.
Although instead of tuesday like everyone else I'll be at Uni for the entirety of my last free weekend helping people move in to the dorms, new student orientation and then campus tours on saturday, sunday and monday respectively. Or I will be when the student success admin assistant gets back to me... now I just have to con my club member friend into signing up for shinerama so I can help out again. Considering I have no idea what happened to the volleyball club and frankly no longer care since its looking more and more likely that my friend a.k.a. the president of said club canned it because it got in the way of her partying/drinking time...

But whatever I'll be going back to watching season four of Supernatural now - food poisoning and clinically depressed teddy bears the size of a person here I come.

So on the news tonight was an awesome story... of Gnome-napping.
Apparently a BC woman has had her garden gnome 'kidnapped' and then returned three times . But thats not the best part, no that honour goes to the fact that said gnome, named Simon, goes on trips to Europe (trip 1), USA tour (trip 2) and another European tour (trip 3) for the duration of the 'napping. And he comes back with photos of said places and a 'journal' chronicling the trip. The gnome's owner has never been to most of the places and said that she's traveling the world vicariously through Simon!
This is frankly an awesome story - they still don't know who is responsible either.
And the commentary title totally comes from my news' sports caster.

GNOME SWEET GNOME UPDATE

There was just a 'cloak and dagger' style interview with the dude who gnome 'naps Simon the real-life roaming gnome!!! Apparently his gnome 'napping days aren't over.
I swear this story just refuses to get old..

So I got my hair cut today and honestly I'm apathetic. Its not that it looks bad its just it doesn't look amazing either. I do however love the die job - I should really considering how much it cost.
This kind of sucks because now I want to just say the hell with it and bob my hair again. Which would defeat the purpose of having my hair cut this way in the first place to GROW it out again.
Oh and I just spent five hundred on text BOOKS this afternoon...
So yeah I'm the epitome and poster child of apathy right now.

EDIT// I am such an idiot! Text books... text books... texts books...

I could have done with knowing about Family Echo before I lost the complete geneology chart and notations I had finished for my pantheon. It took me bloody months to work it out and now its bloody gone. Lost in the piles of papers that are holding up my matress frame - or at least I hope thats where they went!
Well at least I've still got the bare bones version  of the creation myth... But still gone is the family tree of the Royal Line and thats line's usurpers, gone is the notations on the historical evolution of the Regency in terms of the desert country tribes.
Even after all this time it still simultaneously makes me cry and pisses me off.

So I just found out today my best friend has H1N1 virus. The sucky flu-like claw-at-your-throat, lay on the bathroom floor version - and its time like these that I full on hate living in a different country because I feel useless. I had to hear about it from my mam because I was working when her aunt called my house. They wouldn't let her in the clinic and made her call a number instead, then her dad drive to another city to pick up the Tamiflu she was prescribed.
But she's had the Tamiflu meds now so all will be well.
  Thankfully.

So I was watching the news today and what should appear on the screen?
   Tim Hortons of course!
Apparently they've opened up more stores in New York - giving out timbits to people on the street, getting them to try the coffee and all that jazz in order to further break into the American market.
But it was the answer on guy had to one of the questions that had me both laughing and agreeing:
What is Tim Hortons to Canadians?"
The answer (without a second of hesitation): " A religion."

Considering, according to this article, Tim Hortons (at retail) accounts for 7 out of 10 cups of coffee sold at retail - per year I'm assuming... but still thats insane. Among other things. Then again not really when I think about how pervasive Tim Hortons is where I live alone. I mean damn the students at Uni - myself included - nearly staged a coup when we had to go without an outlet on campus for a week while they moved to a more central (and bigger) location.
Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to worship an XL Steeped Tea double-double!
